Conference Job Descriptions


CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST
  • Be a Minister
  • Coordinate travel details with the Ministry Event Coordinator
  • Set up and organize registration area for each wee
  • Set up and organize Servant Life/Compassion International area
  • Work with on-site Director and Event Coordinator to ensure registration runs smoothly
  • Convert registration area into a Customer Service station upon completion of registration
  • Assist on-site Director and Event Coordinator to reconcile registration numbers and payments for each Conference event
  • Come in Birmingham Office on Mondays to complete details from the weekend including receipts, payments, numbers, etc.
  • Assist on-site Director and Event Coordinator to manage Student Staffers for both registration table and Compassion International area
  • Make sure the Youth Minister meeting room is organized and ready for Youth Minister meeting
  • Manage missions offering and offering count
  • Manage weekly restocking of office bins
  • Help with load-in and load-out
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Staff

EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST
  • Be a Minister
  • Build relationships with Youth Workers and assist in any needs they may have
  • Serve along side the Customer Service Specialist as a direct contact for Event Directors and Event Coordinators
  • Help the Program Director and on-site Director oversee and participate in load in and load out
  • Oversee and participate in truck pack
  • Manage set up of lobby communications/marketing area
  • Assist in set up and break down of products area
  • Oversee and set up parking areas, traffic flow, and directional signs
  • Oversee Servant Life/Compassion set up and efficiency
  • Assist in set up and implementation of registration
  • Assist Event Director in Student Staffer training and development
  • Oversee Youth Minister Meeting set up
  • Assist Event Director with communication to personalities and guest
  • Assist Event Director in leading staff bible studies
  • Monitor and evaluate with the Event Director all aspects of the event to ensure its success

PRODUCT COORDINATOR:
  • Be a Minister
  • Manage on-site products store including merchandising, setup, sales and inventory
  • Manage moneybags, count money and secure cashiers checks
  • Come in Birmingham Office on Mondays to complete money transactions and reports
  • Inventory all products weekly
  • Report inventory weekly to Director of Resources
  • Contact banks and make deposits of weekly product monies and mission offering
  • Coordinate product re-orders with Director of Resources
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Staff
  • Work with volunteers at load-in and out and coordinate volunteers to work the products table
  • Work with Worship Leader and Speaker to coordinate sales of products during each event; includes inventory, sales and royalty reports
  • In order to fulfill all responsibilities, you may be required to assist the Birmingham Office staff during Conference preparation for each week

ASSISTANT PRODUCT COORDINATOR
  • Be a Minister
  • Assist Product Coord. with on-site products store including merchandising, setup, sales and inventory
  • Assist Product Coord. with moneybags, count money and secure cashiers checks
  • Come in Birmingham Office on Mondays to complete money transactions and reports
  • Assist Product Coord. with weekly inventory
  • Assist Product Coord. with weekly deposits
  • Run Satellite Tables at Conference Events by selling product, managing volunteers, and other duties
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Staff
  • In order to fulfill all responsibilities, you may be required to assist the Birmingham Office staff during Conference preparation for each week

HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR
  • Be a Minister
  • Coordinate all staff meals beginning Thursday evening through Saturday lunch
  • Contact catering companies to coordinate meals
  • Prepare directions for local grocery stores, restaurants, etc
  • Assist Director with setting up Youth Minister Meeting, including a snack
  • Coordinate food/snacks in the green room for Student Life staff/speaker/worship leader/band
  • Work within allotted budget for staff meals/green room
  • Work in Birmingham office during the week to secure meals/caterers for upcoming weekends
  • Assist Event Coordinator and Product Coordinator in planning and executing Conference Events
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff

LIGHTING TECHNICIAN:
  • Be a Minister
  • Maintain all lighting equipment including:
    • Set-up/tear-down
    • Programming
    • Focus lights
  • Running camera during services
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff
  • Work with volunteers/stage hands at load-in and load-out

LIGHTING TECHNICIAN #2/STAGE MANAGER:
  • Be a Minister
  • Assist in maintaining all lighting equipment including:
    • Set-up/tear-down
    • Programming
    • In charge of everything that happens in the stage area including any set changes during each service
  • Implementation of production staff's lighting design
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff
  • Work with volunteers and stage hands at load-in and load-out

MONITOR ENGINEER:
  • Be a Minister
  • Setup and maintain all on-stage sound equipment including:
    • Wireless mics and monitors
    • Microphones and cables
    • Run backstage console for monitors during worship
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff
  • Work with volunteers and stage hands at load-in and load-out

AUDIO TECHNICIAN:
  • Be a Minister
  • Set-up/tear-down of sound system
  • Run camera during services
  • Assist monitor engineer and FOH engineer as needed
  • Work with volunteers and stage hands at load-in and load-out
  • Run camera during services
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff

VIDEO TECHNICIAN:
  • Be a Minister
  • Help Assistant Video Director in assembling video screens
  • Run camera cabling and set up tripods, camera intercoms
  • Run camera for live IMAG during the program
  • Assist in loading/unloading the truck
  • Assist student staffers during IMAG if needed
  • Help lead student staffers during load out
  • Aid Assistant Video Director in assembling intercom system
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff

ASSISTANT VIDEO DIRECTOR:
  • Be a Minister
  • Assemble and set up video screens
  • Help set up projectors and cabling
  • Set up intercom system
  • Help assemble cameras/tripods
  • Run lyrics and cue/play videos during program
  • Aid Video Director in troubleshooting any problems
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks
  • Assist with training/leading student staffers
  • Live video direction experience is also helpful
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff

AT2AP:
  • Be a Minister
  • Assist with load-in and load-out with a concentration on the set and costumes
  • Assist in stage managing
  • Participate in all services throughout the Conference weekend
  • Participate in curriculum program when needed
  • Assist with load-in and load-out with a concentration on the set and costumes
  • Be visible before and after each Conference session
  • Participate in other responsibilities related to being a part of Student Life Conference Staff
